OVCRI Faculty Travel Support for Visiting Federal Funding Agencies

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation (OVCRI) is committed to supporting faculty to secure next-level research funding by offering travel funds to visit federal funding agencies for one-on-one meetings with program managers or similar representatives. These meetings must be directly related to a faculty member’s program of research for which they have yet to receive external funding. The travel funds (up to $700) can be used to defray some of the expenses associated with this travel.

Funding for other types of travel – such as visits to field sites, galleries, archives, professional conferences, workshops, or other presentation venues – are not appropriate for this program. However, meetings with program managers that are scheduled to coincide with travel to conferences or other types of meetings can be considered in this program.
